We like our friends, and want them to return to us frequently.
Therefore, we strive to make your experience with fountain pens as free from turbulence as possible.
All shipping is at cost, including warrantee work. Typically, we will use Canada Post, small parcel service, as over the years we have found it both reasonable and reliable. Should you wish us to use another service, and it is within our power, please let us know.
Recycling our way of life
Vintage repair necessarily brings risk: the old plastics, including rubber, will deteriorate over time and may become brittle and unstable especially when stored under less than ideal conditions for many decades. In such cases we will try to inform you before work begins, so you can make informed choices.
Occasionally (rarely, in fact), a pen meets an unfortunate end at my hands (RIP, dear friend; your struggles are ended). Should such an unfortunate occurrence befall your old, dear friend, we will try to make an offer for the unfortunates remains, that they may give life to another.
Promises, promises
All our sacs are either natural rubber or silicone. Silicone sacs are used for the pens that may suffer discolouration due to natural rubber “off-gassing” or leaching. Silicone is inert and doesn’t react to ph irregularities and additives in modern inks.
Other parts are either newly manufactured to original specifications or salvaged from the unfortunate.
We guarantee all our work for as long as you own the pen, but the shipping is yours.
Pen sales are all guaranteed for as long as you own the pen, or I remain upright, whichever comes first.
If, at any time you deem the pen you purchased from us is not for you, for any reason, provided there has been no post purchase alteration or damage, you may return it with a full credit toward your next purchase or service.
